Patchwork Snowflakes Table Seta Plastic Canvas Pattern by DRG

When whipstitching the end pieces to the top pieces for the regular size tissue box does the end piece match the top cover. The designs on the top are reversed.. I cannot tell from the picture what is being suggested. I am assuming the ends should match the design on the top.
